Driven to Be Free is partnering with The River in Nortonville to present a FREE 1-Day Deliverance Conference. We are packing resources, tools, and information into 8 hours! You will also get to network with other believers who have a passion for setting the captive free.

Do you have a deliverance or ministry question? Not only will we offer four classes with time for Q&A after each, but we will also do a Q&A panel with the speakers and others in the ministry.

Cost of Registration

We will be offering the deliverance conference 1-day registration free to those who register. A special offering will be received on the day of the event. Registrants will be given an opportunity to purchase their lunch and/or a freedom t-shirt when registering.

Deliverance & the Effects on the Church

Pastors Howard & Joanne Jones have been the lead pastors for 35 years at The River. Pastor Jones has a clear memory of what went wrong in the 1970s with ministries of deliverance going into error and causing division. Many pastors became so cautious that they no longer embraced an active deliverance ministry in the church. How does a pastor with concerns about what could go wrong embrace what could go right and work with deliverance teams working in the church? Pastor Jones will offer insight into how we can do all the works of Jesus with wisdom, balance, and power!

Trauma & the Demonic

Amber Hackney is an author and licensed Social Worker who has an incredible amount of passion for those traumatized by abuse, neglect, and hard life situations. Amber will share how to love like Jesus while expressing the power of the gospel to not only set the captive free, but see them healed and whole. While we do not counsel demons, we must know that the ministry we are giving is to the person, not the enemy. We can be firm and unyielding with an unclean spirit while being gentle, kind, and loving to the person who has already had more than enough trauma in their life.

Taking the Weird out of Deliverance

We do not need to make deliverance any weirder than what many people think it already is! The manifestations are weird, but the power of God is mighty to save, heal and set the captive free! Lisa Piper is the Assistant Pastor at The River and director of the Freedom Ministry. She is the creator of Miracle of Deliverance and has dozens of videos, books, and articles on the subject. After going into error in the early 1990s, Lisa learned that no one is exempt from falling into error and hurting the very people you want to help. She will cover 7 Mistakes to Avoid when casting demons and what to do if you “get it wrong!”

Introduction to Deliverance

Rick Hahn had been in ministry for over 40 years when he came to The River and took his first deliverance class. Before attending, word got around that he referred to deliverance as “a bunch of hocus pocus hillbilly vodoo!” Attendees will enjoy hearing how he changed his mind and has become a team member of the Freedom team. His wisdom gleaned from past experiences and the thrill he has of seeing Luke 4:18 come alive will be a blessing!

Our panel of speakers will be given questions submitted by those registered. The MC will ask the questions and give opportunity for speakers to answer.
