About Us
The mission of AMOR is to spread the gospel, feed the hungry, clothe the naked, build churches and houses, and provide money for education to those who want to go to school. Overall, we seek to help the extremely poor to increase their quality of life by teaching and training them in new skills.
Jesus said: “Whatsoever you have done for one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me.” (Matt 25; 34-36-40) Our Vision is to be armor bearers for other ministries and to be the help to them that Aaron was to Moses. As Aaron was faithful to God, stood by Moses during his interviews with Pharaoh, and held Moses’ arms up until the battle was won, we want to do the same for God.
In January of 2005, the Dakins took their first mission trip to Honduras. During their trip, they felt God’s call for them to dedicate their lives to serving the people of Honduras. Shortly after their 2005 trip, the Dakins became, and continue to be, full-time missionaries in the mountainous regions of Honduras. Together, with their adopted Honduran son, Ever, and his wife, Gladis, they are still pursuing the will of God in Honduras! Today, AMOR’s outreaches include programs such as school feedings and sponsorships for mountain children, discipleship classes, and community renovation projects. AMOR also works to provide basic training and resources for those families affected by extreme poverty and poor living conditions.
Today, AMOR’s work continues under the leadership of the Dakin’s adopted children, Ever and Gladis. Darrell and Darlene are currently in the States pastoring a church in Cadis, KY.
